On July 2, 2006 we got
caught in a sudden thunderstorm while docked at the family dock at
Alcova. There was very possibly a tornado in the storm.
Everyone else had left for the cabin and we (Don and Laura) we were
loading the boat to go back to the boat club. We took refuge from
the lightning, rain, hail, wind (and probably a tornado) in the small,
metal dock shed where the noise was deafening. Halfway
through the storm Don's brother David ran drove to the dock to rescue
us and had to take refuge in the shed with us. These videos were
taken right after the storm passed and we could leave the shed.
The gully behind the dock and shed is normally dry as a bone and the
cove is about 18 inches deep in debris that had washed down this gully.

Don Conducting the Wyoming Symphony Orchestra

the distinct privilege of guest conducting the Wyoming Symphony
Orchestra at the season opening concert. After rehearsing with
the orchestra in the days preceding the concert, he conducted Les
